Terrible visit to Vetco

I made an appointment for a heartworm test for my 13 yr old, 77 lb Alaskan Malamute Max. When I arrived there was the vet and 2 techs in the exam room. I explained what I needed and that I have been having some anxiety issues with him. We had had a problematic vet visit in the past but usually Max was cooperative and had never ever exhibited any aggressive behavior. They assured me they understood and asked me to wait in the waiting room as dogs often did better without their owners present. I hesitated but agreed but stated clearly that if he exhibited any anxiety or became anxious I did not want the test done. I went to the waiting room but after about 5 min I became concerned so I stepped around the corner to look into the exam rooms glass door. What I saw put me into an immediate panic. They had my dog on the floor with both techs holding him down and an anti bite muzzle on him. He was struggling and he was terrified. I could not believe it. The receptionist was standing at her podium and I told her I wanted the visit terminated immediately. When they saw me they let Max up and removed the muzzle. By then I had entered the room and grabbed his leash and we were out that door. I don't remember the last time I was so angry. These pet healthcare professionals completely disregarded my instructions, placed a restraint on my dog without informing me of their intent and completely traumatized a dog who already had anxiety which they were very aware of. I will NEVER go to a Vetco agin.

Poor service

Dog received vaccination and tech and veterinarian failed to document. Noticed when record was email

The manager this morning in the highland Village store is awful. I couldnt get an answer out of him. EXCEPT he did mention 100 times that he was the manager. (So) he wasnt objective, compassionate, caring, friendly, nice, never smiled, didnt ask anything about my animals. Everything that Vetco asks in surveys about how WELL you care about my pets. He had NONE of those qualities

The process of getting prescription food. I had recently waited for Vetco to say yes to q new prescription food THEY PUT MY CAT ON.

It took a week for them to get back to the vendor. Why? What can i do so its not that long? But, he is manager.

I guess that’s all i needed to know.

He also excused me and terminated the conversation. So, i left.

I recently took my pregnant dog to a Vetco Clinic here in Charlotte, NC. At the time she was 39 days and she wasnt eating as she normally would do I took her to vet because I was concerned. The doctor there proceeded to tell me to get an x-ray to see what was going on....

went for pets rabies vac and 1 year heartworm test and meds, Vendor Jessica. Millwood refused to give me 12 month prescription without getting another test in 6 months offering heartworm meds at double price, I advised my pet has a vetranarian and she started evaluating my pet pushing herself on me as my pets vet. She advised she was a temp set in and had no practice but building a traveling van, she gave my pet a horid bloodiest without even cleaning her arm off.

They Ripped me off

I brought my 6 mo. old puppy for shots. $79.99 5 in 1 puppy shots and $19.99 rabies. They did not examine her at all. Gave Rabies shot and oral Kennel Cough which I did not want. Charged me over $100. When I got her Medical Records via email, it showed No Puppy Vaccinations! Now they email me to come back for shots.

First the vet was rude exam was less than 10 seconds. Gave a 13 year old dog all shots on one visit. They didn’t have my county rabies tags and said they would mail them. After two weeks no tags calle

Called and they told me to contact county and pay another $6 for the tags. It used to be a good place to go but now they SUCK. NEVER AGAIN

STOOD UP!

After making an appointment and arriving 10 minutes early as directed, I waited in my vehicle for over 20 minutes before someone came out to inform me that the Vet wasn't there and suggested I go to another PetCo store to get my puppy vaccinated by Vetco. The least they could have done was to let me know in advance that the Vet wasn't able to be there. The other option is to let me know as soon as I arrived that the vet wasn't there. Instead, I waited outside for 20 minutes for nothing.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with product or service ordered. I received my vaccine records.

I took my dog in for vaccine and heart worm test and didn't send me the records. I have the receipt to prove I paid and the reservation confirmation. When I called customer service they told me they would have to submit it to "corporate" and it might take a while. Unfortunately my dog is scheduled to be boarded in 3 days. I asked it they could make it a priority, , and they said no. I am now stuck trying to get my dog vaccinated and heart worm tested within the next two days before I leave town. Horrible Experience and I will never use them again.

I can’t log in my account

When I called, they mentioned theyll send it via mail.which is ok, although Id like to be able to log in. My pet was vaccinated with rabies and got a reaction to it, it is very hard to get the info. On where to make the reimbursement of the hospital. Would suggest to add your contact or pissed customers numbered in your advertisement. Thanks

Bad experience

Text came threw and when i went in for appt. They wouldnt see my dogs. Said i was late. I was in the parking lot 15 minutes early. Text came in late and the staff was very rude.

Appointment cancelled again.

I set up an appointment back in November to get my dog's rabies shot. The day before the appointment I am told they don't have the tags available so the appointment is cancelled. In December I arrived at Petco for the appointment and get a call in the parking lot that my appointment has been cancelled yet again due to a vaccine reaction. Fine, one last chance. Today I get a text that my appointment is, for the third time in a row, cancelled. No reason given. Oh but I do have a coupon for 20% off my next visit. Um no, there won't be a "next" visit. Vetco is very unreliable and I will not be giving them another chance to put off my dog's healthcare for yet another month.
